Congratulations on completing your treatment!

Below are instructions on how to keep your beautiful smile straight for years to come!

1st: Wear your retainers as instructed; otherwise, your teeth WILL MOVE!

2nd: Keep your removable retainers in the case that was provided. They can be easily left on lunch trays or wrapped in napkins and thrown away. No one likes to dig through the trash to find their retainer or have to buy another retainer. Also, pets have been known to make retainers into chew toys so be sure to keep your retainer out of your dog's reach.

3rd: Keep your retainer clean. When you brush your teeth, hold your retainer in the palm of your hand, brush it with toothpaste and rinse it with cool water.

During the first few days, the retainer may affect your speech, but this will improve quickly if you talk or sing aloud.

We will check your retainer over the next year to make sure you are following the instructions given. There is no additional charge for these office visits unless you have broken or lost a retainer. Please contact our office for fees.

Also remember that wisdom teeth evaluations are recommended from 15-18 years of age.

Once again, congratulations and thank you for complying with these guidelines to keep your smile beautiful!
